El Campeonato 2026 tendrá lugar en Navelgas los días 24, 25 y 26 de julio
Taking part in gold panning championships is the best way to practice this activity that has become a sport. You don't have to be a professional to participate in these competitions, in fact, many of our participants learn how to pan a few minutes beforehand, in the panning workshop available at the Asturias Gold Museum.

Material required
The championships are held on the banks of the river and the necessary equipment to participate is as follows comfortable clothing and footwear to get into the water (up to the knees), and a pan.In these competitions there are available pans for all those who may need them, in the panning area.
Categories
These competitions are divided into different categories: individual panning, panning in pairs, trios, teams of 5, paella pan panning, etc.,and even panning under the light of torches. Each participant may register in as many categories as he/she wishes, as long as he/she meets the necessary requirements.
