Navelgas, home of the 2025 World Gold Batting Championship

After the success obtained in the last National Goldpanning Championship, which was held during the last weekend of July in Navelgas (Tineo), with a participation that reached over 250 batters, part of the Goldpanning Association “Barciaecus”, organizer of the championships, moved this week to Pilgrim's Rest (South Africa), to participate in the World Goldpanning Championship 2023, where several batters have moved to the semifinals in several categories.

During these championships, the venues for the next editions are also chosen, and Navelgas has been selected to host the 2025 World Cup.

Navelgas will host, for the third time, the world gold batting championship.

The decision was taken yesterday in South Africa at the annual meeting of the World Goldpanning Association, WGA, an association that includes representatives from all the countries where this sport is practiced.

The Spanish delegation participating in the 2023 batting world cup in South Africa, led by batters from the Navelguin association “Barciaecus”, defended the Spanish bid for 2025, which was supported by the rest of the countries.

At next year's world championships in the Czech Republic (Zlate Hory), the Spanish delegation will present the 2025 program to the rest of the batters and invite them to come to Navelgas.

More than 500 batsmen from five continents are expected to come to compete during a week in Navelgas in this, their third world championship.
