Espicha Asturiana to introduce the World Goldpanning Championship, Navelgas 2025

Sausages, cheese, chosco de Tineo, casadiellas, cider and wine from Tierra de Cangas, was the menu chosen to offer to the more than 450 batsmen participating in this year's World Gold Batting Championship in the Czech Republic.

  • The presentation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Principality of Asturias, Lara Martínez; the deputy mayor of Tineo, Sergio Martínez; the president of the World Goldpanning Association, Sanjay Singh, the Mayor of Zlaté Hory, Milan Rac, and the President of the Barciaecus Goldhitters Association, César Castaño, accompanied by about fifty members of the association.

More than 450 batsmen from more than 20 countries from all over the world are taking part in the World Gold Batting Championship, which is being held at Zlaté Hory (Czech Republic), from August 19 to 24.

Yesterday afternoon, the Spanish delegation was in charge of presenting next year's championship, which will take place at Navelgas, from August 3 to August 9.

After the institutional act, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Principality of Asturias, Lara Martínez; the Deputy Mayor of Tineo, Sergio Martínez; the President of the World Goldpanning Association, Sanjay Singh; and the President of the Barciaecus Goldpanning Association, César Castaño, it was offered, under the sponsorship of the Government of the Principality of Asturias and the City Council of Tineo, an espicha with asturian products to all attendees, in addition to projecting a promotional video of the Asturias destination and the tradition of the gold batting championships in Navelgas.

The Spanish delegation encouraged all batters to visit Asturias next year, and immerse themselves for the third time in an international competition, as it should be remembered that the tinetense village of Navelgas, has already hosted a European championship in 2005 and two world championships, one in 2008 and another in 2015.

The association of Barciaecus Gold Batters and the whole town of Navelgas are very excited to organize again a world championship event, which is expected to exceed the participation of previous editions.

Competition in Zlaté Hory

Desde el pasado martes, tienen lugar las diferentes rondas eliminatorias del campeonato mundial de bateo de oro de este año en Zlaté Hory (Czech Republic), and in which the Navelgas batters have participated, having achieved the following results reach the semifinals muchos de ellos en varias categorías y a finales en alevines, juveniles y familias. Mañana sábado continúan las rondas finales, en las que se espera conseguir alguna medalla.
